Welcome to WE and WHY; a book, blog, and website about the opportunity and possibility of finding real meaning and purpose in your own life.

I want to thank you for joining me on this journey of introspection, faith, and discovery. A journey which I hope and believe can be as rich and rewarding for you as it has been for me.

While we may know a lot about the science and biology of HOW we came to be into this world, my intent is to have you also consider WHY we are here. In doing so I will ask you to participate in some fun and interesting exercises. We will explore where you find yourself to be today, how you currently relate to the people around you, as well as the world at large. I will also ask you to consider what motivates you in your life. I will ask you to consider if you are living a life focused on ME and MY or on, WE and WHY, and what I suggest the basic difference is between the two. I will also introduce you to several online survey tools and other published works to help you explore and understand more about yourself, your motivations, who you really are, who you might aspire to be, and who you might develop into in your lifetime. More importantly, I hope you will be curious enough to join me on your own journey in faith; a journey to find and claim the life I believe you were intended to live. A life focused on WE and WHY.

Within these blogs and pages I will introduce you to the topic of Spiritual Gifts. These are gifts offered to you, and others, by God. Gifts offered to you in the hope, and with the intent, you and I will use and share our gifts to find a new life, a life of real meaning and purpose. As we journey together, we will discuss what Spiritual Gifts are and how to identify your own gift or gifts. We will also discuss how God would have us use our gifts and how He wants us to share them in humility, grace, love, and compassion to find real meaning and purpose in our own lives.

Although my intent is to reach younger men and women from their mid-teens to early thirties, those individuals whose lives are still in the formative years, I am living proof that even older adults may find this journey in faith to be just as engaging, enlightening, and beneficial for their own hearts, souls, and spirits.

Regardless of where you find yourself today, I hope your journey with me will allow you to identify, affirm, and then use your God-given Spiritual Gifts to help others find hope, peace, and joy in our world. I firmly believe WE, in living by faith, sharing our lives, and sharing our Spiritual Gifts with one another, in humility, grace, love, and compassion, will come to understand WHY God wants us, and needs us, to be here. Why he wants us to continually grow and experience his love in wonderfully new, rich, and fulfilling ways. If we choose to do so, I believe we can and will make a positive difference in the world in which we live.
